  1. g'day, have had to make adjustments to video so that it works when re-posting on other blogs. Please go back to the website and copy the code again, as it should work this time round.

    :)

  2. And here was I presuming it worked!

    So far no one has complained.

    Ok, will change the code now.

  3. Hi Andy,

    Could you just email me the code that works, or put it in the comments here.

    I've just tried the code (after having to watch the clip again) and blogger believes that the HMTL code is not enclosed, so will not let me publish the post.

  4. Hi Lucia,
    did that to me too when I tested it on blogger. What you need to do is tick the box (when in the HTML view) that says "ignore html errors". Blogger is just being silly, it does actually work.

  5. Andy,

    I just used that code, and ticked the box, and it doesn't look like it works.

    And I can't figure out how to put the code in the comments to confirm the code I've used. HTML comment tag doesn't work here.

  6. Right, have figured out the issue. When you switch from HTML view to Compose view, Blogger "helpfully" plays round with your code.

    What you want to do is, go into HTML view, copy the code in and then look at the end of the bit of code you've pasted in, you should see:

    width="560" />

    change that to:

    width="560"></embed>

    And then press publish immediately. Changing back to compose will remove your changes.

    that should work.

  7. Except, the code that I've copied over doesn't end with the width, it keeps going with all these options:

    allowscriptaccess='always' allowfullscreen='true' flashvars='repeat=list&image=files%2Fsimon_img.jpg&frontcolor=ffffff&skin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.longtailvideo.com%2Fjw%2Fupload%2Foverlay.swf&lightcolor=cc9900&controlbar=over&stretching=fill&file=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.voteno.org.nz%2Fsimon_540x303.mov&plugins=viral-1d'

    Knowing to put an end embed tag helped alot, though.

  8. Lucia, your vid doesnt work. I cant cut and past the code here but go to you tube, get the embed code, change object width to "425" and height to "344". That should do it.
