Ah yes Z.T, it’s hard to go past Seventeen Seconds, the first of The Cures dark trilogy & the only one in the groups long history to include a standalone keyboardist(if my memory is correct) . ‘Faith’ & ‘Pornography’ were to follow. Gallup on six string bass, Smith at his darkest, echoes, ambiences – hard to beat, though many have tried.
