Friday night free for all

Chat time!

I've just come in from the garden, doing a spot of planting in the evening cool. Not that it's cooler, it's just not frying me to death right now. Instead I'm being eaten by sandflies so am forced to put on something with sleeves. * Sigh *

  1. Coming back from China recently I decided for the first time in my life [yes, true] to try a pint of Guinness.

Colour me impressed, I'm partaking in a couple now. Isn't that little nitrogenated widget which floats around inside the can cool !

  2. Not a bad idea.

What was China like. It's one place I have never visited, but would love to. I have no interest in going to the Olympics though.

  4. Hmm, tripped over the doorstep - metaphorically speaking. Sorry, put a post intended for the Trotter thread in here by mistake.

Now that I'm here - evening all, from the sweat-soaked Manawatu.

  5. sweaty up in the BoI as well. I was the ungrateful recipient of some DPF demerit points today. A new low when DPF is following roger nome's whiny screech as the discipline barometer.
I am unlikely to comment at trollasic park again.

  6. Now Bill, you're not going to make us go trawling through a day's worth of Kiwiblog looking for the relevant exchange, are you? A link is in order!

  7. Evening All. India is screwing the Ockers in Adelaide.

  8. Evening all. Just about to sit down to a lamb burger. Mike Moore, where are you?

The lefty troll factions reaction (over at Kiwiblog) to Trotter was surprising. Should I be? Ties in with my disappointment of the outright lies some from the Standard have been engaging in. All worth posting about, but so little time.

    Anyway, back after my dinner...

  9. I will not link to dpf, I fair have the shits with him at the moment. I have been faithfully commenting and linking there for nearly two years and he doesn't link to my (admittedly modest) blog.
Anyway, my comment was on the trotter/ goff thread and was in response to eger moron immediately climbing into trotter.
I used the D word, which since david started deferring to eger moron as his arbiter of right and wrong has been made verbotten.
    my comment;

"Goof replacing Clarke is absolutely the worst thing that could happen. it may just give the dykocracy the lift it needs. Oops we would need a new ocracy as well.
    Perhaps Gingocracy"

    [DPF: And that’s 10 demerits]

  10. OK, got it. I wonder if the Standard's constant sniping is having an effect - you used to be able to get away with a lot worse than that on Kiwiblog.

  11. He has definitely reacted poorly to the constant barrage of abuse from the axis of stupid and it's members.
Unfortunately his desire to remain number 1 was stronger than the desire to just ban the leftards, gotta keep that hit rate up. if he had just quietly blocked them one by one months ago I suspect that the 3 blogs and most of its members would have stayed on Bebo.
Saying that he has a few rightys that fall into the same group IMO.

  12. "saying that he has a few rightys that fall into the same group IMO."

I wonder who they could be Bill ?

  13. D4J, you wrote;
"Oh boo hoo - you moan about 10 demerits , oh really . What a croc of shit !

Don't worry Bill as the place is not worth the stress.

As the election gets nearer watch the place turn into a pc sandpit ."

With all the respect and politeness I am able to muster when talking to you, being lumped in with you as a kiwiblog bad boy fills me with shame and self loathing.

  14. Oh Bill , poor chap , get with the program mate as things are never quite what they seem . I am far from a kiwiblog bad boy . Haha if you only knew the truth . Must tell you after the election old chap . Really I will. Haha barnsley, it's all done by mirrors mate .

    ReplyDelete
  15. All I was trying to say Bill don't worry about 10 demerits mate . It's about working to an effective strategy together, so we can achieve our sole objective. If that means upsetting traditional view points and threading on a few pc toes, then so be it .
Victory will be all the sweeter mate ,however you can hold you're head in shame and dwell in self loathing if you like, as this soldier don't give a hoot .
    Kind regards

  16. Cullen takes a shortcut through the back of Parliament buildings one night and is accosted by a Labour voter wearing the traditional balaclava.

"Give me your money" says the robber.

"Don't you recognise me - I'm Dr Cullen" splutters Cullen in outrage, given the recent hike in the minimum wage rate, Working for Families, 4 weeks annual leave and free child care.

"Oh, in that case", replied the robber, "give me my money."

  17. (And I hope Cullen remembered to add 12.5% for GST)

  18. I think the standard has become the new kiwiblog, trolling the trolls!
their apologies for burqa bob thread is being bombarded by dpf's legion of boys.

  19. Zen, I've been in Northern China, Liaoning Province, installing some of our machines in a plant up there. Rural China is very different, very cool in more ways than one. [-10 deg during the day]

The language barrier was a problem but I now know how to order a beer in Mandarin. The hosts were great, every meal was a banquet and they do their utmost to get the foreigners drunk ! I am normally a vegetarian [for weight control] but I had the unusual experience of eating donkey {very nice it was too]
